Overall this was a very enjoyable cd. Sobol's shtick usually doesn't bring out the best in cantorial voices, but I feel like he toned it down a little bit for this one. Despite this Glantz's Shema Yisroel with orchestra always rubs me the worng way. I especially enjoyed both versions of Umipnei Chatoeinu, but I'm hoping someone can explain what makes the second one a 1928 version besides the crackling inserted in the background.
